Privacy Policy
The short version
The financial data you enter into ClearZero — your debts, balances, interest rates, and payoff strategies — is stored only on your own device. It never leaves your browser. We don't have a server-side database. We can't see your numbers, and we don't want to.
1. Information We Collect
a. Financial Data You Enter
All debt and financial information you input into ClearZero is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to ClearZero or any third party. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
b. Analytics Data (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use ClearZero. Google Analytics collects anonymized, aggregated information such as pages visited, approximate geographic location (country/region level), browser type, device type, and how you arrived at the site. This data does not include your name, email address, or any financial information.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
c. Waitlist Sign-Ups
If you sign up for the ClearZero Pro waitlist, we collect your email address via Netlify Forms. We use this solely to notify you when Pro features become available. We will not send you unrelated marketing, and we will not share your email with third parties. You may request removal at any time by emailing us at the address below.
d. Payment Information (Future Pro Subscriptions)
When ClearZero Pro becomes available, payments will be processed by Stripe. ClearZero will not store your credit card number or billing details — Stripe handles all of that securely under Stripe's Privacy Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information

3. Cookies and Tracking
ClearZero itself does not set cookies. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to track sessions and usage patterns. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may affect how some features function.
4. Data Retention
Financial data: Stored in your browser until you clear it. We have no access to it.
Waitlist email: Retained until you ask to be removed or the waitlist closes.
Analytics data: Retained per Google's standard data retention settings.
5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it. To exercise any of these rights with respect to data we hold (e.g., your waitlist email), contact us at the address below and we'll respond promptly.
For financial data stored in your browser, you are already in full control — it never reaches us.
6. Children's Privacy
ClearZero is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ClearZero after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
